University of Edinburgh
The University of Edinburgh is the 4th oldest Unviersity in Britain. First established in 1583, it reflects the historical atmoshphere of the architecture of Edinburgh and has almost 30,000 students registered at it. It is ranked as the 14th highest University in Europe and is a place of learning in many different subjects. There are many schools at Edinburgh University: Arts, History, Languages, Biomedical sciences, veterinary medicine and Law. The Law school at Edinburgh University was established in 1707 and offers a wide range of LLM degrees.
The University of Edinburgh is recommended for students who want to go a
step further. Courses offered in the second semester are worth 10 ECTS
each. In order to fully integrate into Edinburgh's course programme and
postgraduate life, Eulisp students are required to attend three course
(30 ECTS) during their stay.

Edinburgh
Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland and is home to almost 500,000 inhabitants. It is situated on the South East coast of Scotland on the North Sea. Edinburgh has a rich and cultural heritage and is encapsulated to many tourists as the image of the castle on at the top of the Mound. Edinburgh is home also to the Scottish parliament with its building being opened in 2004. This is a controversial and modern piece of architecture and is situated at the foot of Arthur’s seat which is the main peak of a group of hills in Edinburgh.
Edinburgh is also home to the National Gallery of Scotland and famous pieces of artwork can be seen inside. The castle is a major tourist attraction but there is also Calton hill to be seen, giving beautiful views over Edinburgh. It is also home to many important landmarks such as the City Observatory, National Monument and Nelson Monument.
Edinburgh is also home to the Fringe comedy festival that takes place in August and is a world-wide renowned festival. The atmopshere of the city during this time incomparable and the streets are lined with performers and artists.
There is also a large commercial business and retail areas in the centre of Edinburgh, namely Princes street where many large department and designer stores can be found. There is also the quirky side of Edinburgh that can be found in the Old town and also on Rose street in the centre of town. These are full of quaint bistros and bars, encompassing a range of different cuisines.
