Overview
The Postgraduate Study Programme in IT-Law and IP-Law is a one-year course of studies. After the successful completion of the course, students are awarded the academic degree ‘Master of Laws (LL.M)’. The course is offered within the European Legal Informatics Study Programme (EULISP) at the Faculty of Law at Leibniz University Hanover. Eleven partner universities are participating in EULISP. The Institute of Legal Informatics is in charge of the course of studies, which constitutes the first German postgraduate course of studies in this subject area.
In 2001, the Study Programme was externally evaluated and accredited by the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (Zentrale Evaluations- und Akkreditierungsagentur / ZevA) and was re-accredited in 2006.
Course of Studies
The duration of the course of studies is two Semesters. Students study in Hanover during the first Semester and stay at one of our ten EULISP partner universities during the second. The one-Semester stay abroad constitutes a fixed component of the programme of studies. The year of studies concludes with a final ceremony at which the Masters certificates and reports are given to the graduates.
