Latest news: DAAD granted quality label to the EULISP programme
LL.M in IT-Law one of Germany's Top Ten International Master's Degree Courses
The LL.M programme
in IT-Law offered by the Leibniz University Hanover’s Institute
for Legal Informatics is the only postgraduate degree course in law
to be awarded the DAAD's Seal of Excellence.
The German Academic
Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Donors' Association for the Promotion
of the Sciences and Humanities conferred the award to the “Top 10
International Master's Degree Courses, made in Germany“.
The evaluation focussed on the following criteria: conception of the programme, quality of teaching, internationalisation, student counselling and quality of the programme's graduates. The official prize-giving ceremony of the DAAD took place in Bad Honnef near Bonn on 12th June 2008.
The Postgraduate Study Programme in IT-Law was first offered in 1999 within the framework of the European Legal Informatics Study Programme (EULISP). Its attractiveness stems from the intensive student support scheme, high relevance to practice and the very close contact between students and lecturers. Further, impressive partner universities throughout the EU (Bologna, Glasgow, Leuven, London, Namur, Oslo, Rovaniemi, Stockholm, Vienna and Zaragoza) make the programme a very attractive choice.
The expert knowledge gained in this one-year course of study covers the German law society's requirements for the theoretical part of the traineeship to become a specialist lawyer in IT-Law and therefore offers an excellent opportunity for additional qualifications. More than 200 alumni already benefit from these advantages.
